Bookings


Apart from Sunday mornings, we offer our rooms for the use of wider society. We offer a selection of competitively priced meeting rooms and spaces. All our rooms have natural daylight and are in a quiet location. The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users. There is a garden area with a bench and chairs.

The Meeting House is in south Belfast within a 2-minute walk of the Lisburn Road. It is easily reached by Translink Metro buses 9A, 9B and 9C (get off at Marlborough Park stop). Adelaide train station is just a few minutes away. We have a bicycle shelter that can accommodate up to 6 bicycles and also car parking on-site for up to 12 cars.

Terms and Conditions


We have three pricing bands to reflect the range of organisations using our building. A session is a period of up to 4 hours. Sessions are available to book every day except Sunday mornings. The following will be the minimum contributions expected to cover heat, light, maintenance and caretaking per session.

Booking requests should be made through Hallmaster. Users will need to register as a user with Hallmaster by creating a login to make a booking request. You will also receive a request to verify and confirm your email address by Hallmaster, and you should complete this process to continue with your booking. Once logged in, you will be able to check availability of rooms and facilities at the Meeting House, make a request and even change or cancel your request. Requests should not be considered booked until you receive a confirmation email from South Belfast Meeting House confirming your booking.

Priority use is given to groups/individuals who are in sympathy with or have similar aims to our Quaker ethos and our testimonies of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity & Trust, Equality & Community. We do not accept bookings from enquirers whose values are contrary to the spirit of Quaker ethos and testimonies.

Conditions Of Meeting House Use
  • Users should aim to have their own public liability insurance in place.
  • The meeting house is not licensed for public entertainments for which admission is charged.
  • No smoking, vaping or alcoholic drinks are permitted.
  • There may be exceptional occasions when the meeting house will be required for Quaker purposes at relatively short notice (e.g. a funeral). In such cases, as much notice of cancellation as possible will be given and every effort will be made to honour bookings made well in advance.
